TIG in Portugiesisch
TakingITGlobal and the Global Youth Action Network are very proud to present the result of work that begun more than a year ago: the Portuguese Version of TakingITGlobal's online community! In addition to having Spanish, Arabic, French and Russian platforms available, it will now be possible to choose "Português" when you're navigating through the website to have access to all the content in Portuguese. This accomplishment was only made possible with the hard work of the translation group and some other very special people that helped us out along the way. The final phase of this task was coordinated by Barbara Azevedo, our Portuguese Engagement Coordinator working from GYAN's Regional Office in Brazil.Let us not forget that TIG's content is always renewing itself, so there still is a lot of work to be done! If you want to join this team of successful translators, click here. By the way, here's a list of people we would like to appreciate publicly for their contributions: Talita Montiel, Felipe Butelli, Felipe Portela, Mayra Peixoto, Julia Furlan, Gustavo Nicoletta, Luana Cavalcanti, Bruna, Ana Boa-Ventura, Pedro Piza, Daniel Taminato, Alberto Cauaia, Larissa Cavalcante and last, but not least, Diogo Andre and Melina Laboucan-Massimo. "Bom trabalho pessoal!"

Trage zur Forschung der Jugend-Führungs Aktion bei
TakingITGlobal is conducting research on 'Youth Led Action in an International Context' in attempt to better understand the characteristics of youth leadership in this era and how it can be made more effective. The research will contribute to the development of a new version of TakingITGlobal's Guide to Action. For the purposes of this study, a young leader is defined as someone between the ages of 16 - 26, who has initiated an effort to affect change in their community (which can be defined as local, national and/or global), either as part of an institution or outside of formal institutions. If you meet these criteria, you are invited to participate in an online survey and an effort to contribute to a culture of youth-led action and engagement globally. Klick hier! The survey closes on Friday, September 23, 2005.
